Halloween, 2008

In the words of Ben Weiss this year's All Hallow's Eve was "awesome".  Ben's.  Plans were made last week with some close family friends.  David, like Ben, was not into going 1,000 miles to get tons of candy.   (is this really my child?  We would go to the ends of the earth to get candy back in the day!!!).  So a trick-or-treat date was made.  Mid-week or so Ben's other friends from the neighborhood also wanted in for trick-or-treating so now there was a group of 4 going along with their parent entourage-Jay, Steve, Jim and Marshall and Mickey too.

Us moms were on doorbell duty.  It was a busy one.  The weather was cooperative-by 6:30 it was in the high 50s with no chance of rain.  We had over 100 costumed children come and visit us.  They ranged from toddlers to teenagers. Our last goblin rang the doorbell around 9:00-another close family friend!!!!

Ben's haul was pretty amazing.  During his travels he managed to obtain so many little treats and 9 full-size candy bars-a new record.  So now that it's done-the battle will now be control the amount of sugar consumed by him!!!

Onward to the next foodfest-THANKSGIVING-my personal favorite.
